hello .
my hp dvd writer model AD-7586H KH04 stuck to read or write any dvd. but it can easily read any cd, but no dvd. once i changed dvd region unfortunately,:(( after that, i faced this serious problems. even if i tried to changed it to any other region, it says, insert correct medium disk to rom., i tried different disk, but it doesnt support.

i bought this hp laptop from UK.

currently it has changed to region5. and by using drive region info v2.2, it says
region code-5
user: 4 changes left
manufacturer: 4 changes left
status: not permanent


i want to un protected it again.

please help me.

Flashing your drive CAN change nothing, the dvd part is dead!!
