Hi all,
I am looking for 130e firmware for an Optorite 1205 (recently acquired). I already have the same drive with the 130e firmware already installed and works flawlessly with almost any media I throw at it. I had upgraded that drive to 130e many years ago and for the life of me cannot find the flash file (it may have been for a rebadged Accesstek drive) having a Sanyo LC897491 based processor (w/ internal flash RAM).
My original drive had firmware version 120e as does this newly acquired drive and had trouble with many DL media types. After the 130e upgrade it worked perfectly, so if we can get this firmware back into circulation maybe we can resurrect these drives collecting dust on shelves back burning DVDs.
After not being able to acquire the 130e firmware from my own files and weeks of searching on the web including the dangerous brothers, I did find a thread in this forum which a member did have a file to offer, but I have been unsuccessful in contacting our member. Another thought I had was to copy the firmware from my drive and flash it to this newly acquired drive, but I have found nothing that is able to copy or backup the 130e firmware from this Sanyo chipset.
