Hello all, I also have a 2011 Macbook Pro with the DVD drive described in this thread. I tried to use the latest public release of MCSE, but it seems this drive is still not supported. Here is the info from System Information: Quote: HL-DT-ST DVDRW GS31N:

As per the OP I too am looking for RPC1 firmware for the GS31N in my Early 2011 MacBook Pro. I'll try to stick to the rules as much as possible, though DVD Info X won't run on my machine - I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion. As per System Information: Quote: HL-DT-ST DVDRW GS31N:
