use MCSE to patch to RPC2 Autoreset, then flash with the utility you dumped the firmware with. FX07 is not for your drive

It works and thanks.

But on my dv5t after flashing the firmware, the laptop needs to be TURNED OFF instead of REBOOT otherwise the computer won't recognize it and DISCInfo would only give out a bunch of junk information. So is autoreset - after changing the region, only turning off and on again not reboot would reset the counter.

drive needs to power down for the autoreset to work. what do you mean the laptop won't recognise the drive? is it when you do a restart your system will not find the drive at all?

After flashing the firmware the drive gets a software reset or reboot command, which probably got the interface to the laptop out of sync. Nothing to worry about.
Looks like your laptop does not reset the drive on reboot, so you need a power off/on. External USB drives have the same problem, as they do not have a reset signal.

Yes. When the firmware is flashed, only a poweroff and on would make the computer recognize it.
