Hello!

I'd like to "free" my DVD-drive of my laptop. ("HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT10N") Is there a (modified) firmware for that Dirve of my laptop?

GT10N is a Panasonic chipset drive, so it won't work with the "flasher" utility.

However you are in luck. MSI released a GT10N 1.02 firmware in Nov 2009 (http://global.msi.eu/index.php?func=dow ... od_no=1882).

You can use MCSE to patch the original 1.02 firmware and then flash your drive with the patched version.
