I need news firmware for these LG DVD Writers, the latest is 1.04 but I need news firmware region free or with reset region code to 5 (neutral)... let's me something... thanks!
My region code is 2 and I'd like to reset...

This part of the request rules is not up to date, your GH22xP20 drives belong to "and more" Quote: Riplock and RPC1 LG 4163/4165/4167/H10/H12,4164/4166/H20/H21/H22/H30/H31, H2x/H3x/H5x/H6X firmwares and more Riplock,Bitsetting and RPC1 for Pioneer drives 109-117, and Sata 212-217 Liteon and NEC drives also supported, Please check MCSE Website for full drive list and patches http://ala42.cdfreaks.com/MCSE/

I have no experience with the tool you suggest in quoted signature... I'd like to remove only the region code from my drives so my dvdw should result with '5 changes available' and 'not region code set'... I don't want increase the speed of my drive but only get a new firmware auto reset or rpc1... like for the http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GSA4163B that I already used in the past with success! Please, let me something about my problems... see the dvd movie with a locked region 2 is very hard...

you patch them yourself I patched the firmware but about the Auto Reset? I read the full thread but no infos about it... why? The auto reset will reset the drive with the status: 'no region code set' instead of RPC1 that remove the regional code... in the fact with my DVD Movie and with the RPC1 enabled the disc drive doesen't load the DVD Movie... so I'm asking about the auto reset feature... there is some trick in order to do that? 'I, Robot' movie doens't work with RPC1 instead of Auto Reset which works great! This is my point of view and all I need... for make working 'I, Robot' I had to reflash the original firmware but so I get the limit of '4 changes allowed' and the region code is set to 2... When I purchased the DVD Writer the region code wasn't set yet but WinDVD 9 Plus set to 2 the region code 'without my permission'... how to do the trick? Regards
