Hello,

I just got this computer and I have AnyDVD and I put a DVD in there and it popped up saying either the DVD was dirty or messed up (it's not I was able to watch it). It told me that Region code maybe set at 2 instead of 1. (I don't know how to change it). Or that I need a firmware update for my DVD drive (MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-842). Can someone help? I know the drive is old so it probably needs a firmware update. (I have a Lenovo T60). Can someone provide me with the newest firmware available? Lenovo doesn't have one on their site and I tried a Sony one but it scans the computer to make sure it's a Sony laptop. Also how do I check the region code and change it if needed?

Thanks

Well that sucks the big one!

Why doesn't ANYDVD work with my drive?

FYI: I just hot swapped my DVD Drive (I pulled the drive out while Vista was up and running, I waited 5 minutes, then put drive back in). I waited for Vista to see it again. I then put my DVD back in the drive. ANYDVD scanned it didn't display the error again and worked!! Strange.

Thanks
