Help is appreciated.

I installed the firmware upgrade from lenovo, on my IBM Thinkpad i1400 2611-412, and now my cd drive (internal) wont even open.

Does anyone know where I can find the original firmware for this CD ROM?
OTI 91X ATAPI CD ROM

Thanks

Do you have usb? That might be a way.

But is the drive seen in the BIOS, and if yes, as what?

Yes the machine has a USB, but the BIOS does not see it.
Was just wondering where to get the original firmware, flsh it again, and ...magic, like new again.

I git the firmware that [*Profanity*] the drive from (which does specify my machine model)...can I sue Lenovo?
