Yet another security tool that's FREE, but, this time from Microsoft!
Once again, on a Podcast this week, I discovered M$ MBSA (Microsoft Basleline Security Analyzer).
So, a couple of weeks back, I posted about the splendid PSI Freeware, this is a similar Freeware except it ONLY examines your Windows setup (and who should know better to do this than Microsoft?)!!!
What it does is to scan your system and, after completion, inform you (in great detail), of any shortcomings that it finds.
For instance, I never have Auto Updates turned on - I prefer to do them for myself...but MBSA 'sussed' this and several other things (like do you have 'Shares' that perhaps you didn't realise or had forgotten).
