Just curious to find out if RCE is relevant with DVD-Rom drives in PC's. My new Sony multi-region home player plays anything but my Pioneer 116s DVD-Rom cannot play RCE titles. Does anyone have any information so I can understand this problem further.

That's just it, your Sony is new, and thus probably isn't RPC-1. RCE disks check to see if the player is RPC-1, and will then not play, but in a PC, you can use a program such as DVD genie to specify the region of the disk, and then you can play it. You must have made your 116s region free. Why did you post this here? it belongs in another forum.
